1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 1/2 cups whole wheat flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/4 teaspoon of salt
Cookie coating:
2 tablespoons sugar (I did 1 T of cane sugar and 1 T of white sugar)
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1-Turn oven to 375. In a small mixer bowl beat butter with electric mixer on medium speed till softened. Add brown sugar and beat till fluffy.
2- Add egg and vanilla. Beat well.
3- In a medium mixing bowl stir together whole wheat flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt. With mixer on low speed gradually add flour mixture to butter mixture, beating til well mixed.
4- In small bowl stir together sugar and cinnamon. Shape the dough into 1-inch balls. Roll the balls in the sugar-cinnamon mix. Place about 2 inches apart on un-greased cookie sheets. Flatten slightly with the bottom of a drinking glass.
5- Bake for 8-10 minutes or till edges are firm. Use a spatula to lift cookies onto a cooling rack.

Incredible Chocolate Chip Cookies

1 cup butter
2/3 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 eggs
1-3.4 oz. box of instant pudding
1 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking powder
3- 4 cups soft white wheat flour
1/2 to 1 bag of chocolate chips
Cream butter, sugars, vanilla and eggs. Beat in pudding. Add dry ingredients and mix. Stir in chocolate chips. Bake for 9 min. @350 degrees. These are even better if you refrigerate overnight or freeze up to 6 months before baking.
I have been on the search for the best chocolate chip cookie and these deliver, they were the best by far. All my boys loved them and I honestly can't stop eating them. Dangerous! I did end up freezing half of the dough, but ended up baking them by the end of the week.

Peanut Butter Cookies

These are by far the best peanut butter cookies I have ever tasted. The texture is perfect - tender and soft, with a nice sugary texture on the outside. Yummy!
Peanut Butter Cookies Adapted from the Magnolia Bakery Cookbook and taken from My Kitchen Cafe
1¼ cups all-purpose flour
¾ teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
½ cup unsalted butter, softened (I used salted butter and cut the 1/4 teaspoon salt down to 1/8 teaspoon)
1 cup peanut butter at room temperature
¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon (for sprinkling) sugar
¾ cup plus 1 tablespoon (for sprinkling) sugar
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 large egg, at room temperature
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
½ cup peanut butter chips
½ cup chocolate chips
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl, combine the flour, the baking soda, the baking powder, and the salt. Set aside. In a large bowl, beat the butter and the peanut butter together until fluffy. Add the sugars and beat until smooth. Add the egg and mix well. Add the milk and the vanilla extract. Add the flour mixture and beat thoroughly. Stir in the peanut butter chips. Place sprinkling sugar on a plate. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls into the sugar, then onto ungreased cookie sheets, leaving several inches between for expansion. Using a fork, lightly indent with a crissscross pattern but do not overly flatten cookies (I used the back of a flat spatula to flatten). Bake for 10 to 12 minutes (I only baked mine for about 9 minutes). Do not overbake. Cookies may appear to be underdone, but they are not.
Cool the cookies on the sheets for 1 minute, then remove to a rack to cool completely.
